Free Skateboard Tricks
When you start skateboarding, learning how to ollie is the first trick you must learn. The ollie is the foundation for almost all other skateboard tricks so you must get very good at it in order to proceed. Don't get discouraged if you can't get it right away. It takes many people months to really learn how to ollie.
Below are instructions on how to do an ollie that will have you learning the trick in no time. Of course, it is easier said then done but with a little practice I am sure you can master it pretty quickly. I would suggest you start out on grass and get the general idea of what to do before you move to pavement. It is safer that way.
How To Do An Ollie
The first step is to get on your skateboard with your front foot in the middle of the board just below the bolts and your back foot on the tail. Next you will push down on the tail with your rear foot making sure to push with your toes and not your entire foot. You front foot should be straight across the board.Push the tail of the board to the ground and then jump off with your back foot as you slide your front foot up the board. As you slide your front foot up the board it will cause the skateboard to even out in the air and then all you need to do is land. Make sure to jump with your knees bent and also land with both of your knees bent.
The harder you push the tail to the ground with your back foot, the higher you will be able to ollie
Of course that sounds really easy when you read it but it will take some practice. But remember when you learn how to ollie you can then move on to new skateboard tricks and more advanced ones as well.
